BYD Qin L EV Debuts at Chengdu Motor Show 2025 with Competitive Pricing and Advanced Tech

The model is offered in three variants with a price range of 119,800 to 139,800 CNY. A limited-time promotion brings the effective price down to 109,800 - 129,800 CNY. A new top-tier variant, the 545KM Yunshi Edition, is introduced at an official price of 139,800 CNY (129,800 CNY after discount).

Performance and Key Specifications

The new Qin L EV is built on BYD's latest e-Platform 3.0 EVO and features a rear-wheel-drive layout. Buyers can choose between two electric motor options with maximum power outputs of 110 kW and 160 kW. These are paired with BYD's Blade LFP battery packs in two capacities: 46.08 kWh and 56.64 kWh, offering CLTC-rated ranges of 470 km and 545 km respectively.

The flagship Yunshi Edition is equipped with the innovative Yunshi-C Intelligent Damping Body Control System and the TBC High-Speed Tire Blowout Stability System, marking their first application in a production vehicle. The chassis utilizes a front double-ball-joint MacPherson strut and a rear five-link independent suspension for improved handling and comfort.

All trims come standard with the advanced "DiPilot 100" ADAS suite, which uses 12 cameras, 5 millimeter-wave radars, and 12 ultrasonic radars. This enables features like Navigate on Pilot (highway assist) and intelligent parking assistance.

Design and Interior Features

Externally, the Qin L EV adopts BYD’s latest "Loong Face" design language with a prominent chrome strip, hidden full-width LED DRLs, and triangular headlamps. A new "Sweet Glaze Pink" exterior color joins other options like Glazed Green and Ocean Crystal Blue.

The coupe-like silhouette, semi-flush door handles, 17-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, and red brake calipers emphasize its sporty character. The vehicle measures 4720 mm in length, 1880 mm in width, and 1495 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2820 mm, positioning it as a mid-size electric sedan.

Inside, the cabin features a glossy black center console, ambient lighting, and streamlined air vents. An 8-inch digital instrument cluster is paired with a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen (12.8-inch in lower trims). A 50W wireless phone charger is integrated into the center console. The smart cockpit supports OTA updates, with a second round of testing scheduled soon.
